Social media is such a big part of today’s society and can absolutely be used for good! Instagram is an amazing social media platform, and many people use it. Individuals such as entrepreneurs, businesses, and so many more use it to expand and reach their audience.
Instagram is one of the most engaging + popular platforms. Creating content and acquiring authentic followers is a priority for some. As a blogger, this is super important, and it's key to building a brand or presence on social media! To make it easier, I created a short list of 7 hacks that help have helped me gain followers on Instagram!
7 Hacks to Get More Followers on Instagram
1. Create an Attractive Bio & Profile
Most of the time, your Instagram bio is what people look at first, besides your feed. It tells your audience who you are and what your content is all about. Below are some suggestions you should include in your bio!
Make it interesting & fun
Use specific keywords
Have everything spaced out
Add little emojis/icons
Include website link (if you have one)

2. Schedule Posts
There are many Instagram tools that let you schedule your posts. One of them is Tailwind. This is what I use to schedule my content, so I don't have to worry about posting a picture constantly. Most importantly, it allows you to focus on creating more content & engaging with your audience.
3. Join Twitter Groups & Threads
When I started using Instagram to get traffic to my blog, I had no idea that Twitter threads existed. Twitter is a great social media platform with groups and threads you can join, and it is not just for bloggers. It's for anyone, such as artists, businesses, etc. In these threads, you can share your content & your links. There are always Instagram Follower Threads going on that allow you to gain some followers!

Hashtags are tags you put at the end of every post. You should use all 30 spots Instagram allows. They help expand your audience, which means more followers. The best hashtags to use aren’t super popular, because then you will get lost in the mix. You want hashtags related to your content and popular enough to get likes and follows.
5. Consistently Post & Engage
Recent studies show that consistent posting and engagement are key to gaining more followers! This means that the more you post, the more followers you get! Sounds easy, right? Using a scheduling tool such as Tailwind is a great way to ensure you post consistently. It allows you to schedule Instagram posts ahead of time.
Consistent content also means keeping your Reels engaging with the right audio, as using the correct royalty free music for Instagram Reels can significantly boost viewer retention and make your content more shareable, provided it aligns with your brand and the video's mood. When I started an Instagram for my blog, I didn’t realize how important it was to have a theme. Later, I realized my feed was all over the place and very inconsistent. This is when I decided to rebrand my entire feed by archiving and deleting content that didn’t fit my niche or the color scheme I was going for. I wanted a vibrant, bright theme, so I created and edited my photos to fit that. I simply used the Vivid or Bright Presets on Lightroom Studio. To clarify, a theme gives your account an overall aesthetic look. It forms a lasting impression on your current & potential followers.
