3) Give Your Legs a Stretch

Try these mini stretches in your seat before takeoff (and again mid-flight) to keep your legs from getting stiff:

  • Extend your legs as straight as they can go, then tilt your feet up toward your shins. Hold for a few seconds — this move helps with circulation and prevents deep calf cramps.

  • Next, “write” the alphabet in the air with your big toe on each foot, moving only your ankles. It’s subtle but surprisingly effective for keeping your muscles active and flexible.
