What will Tim Burton's Wednesday live-action show be about?

On Wednesday, August 17, Netflix released the official first trailer for Wednesday, and Jenna's mind-blowing transformation into Wednesday.

The two-minute trailer revealed the reason why Wednesday can't seem to stay at one school for long. We see the chilling antiheroine unleash two large bags of piranhas into the school pool to attack a water polo team full of tyrannizing jocks. As a result, Wednesday is sent to the eerie Nevermore Academy -- the school where her parent first met. As they arrive through the iron gates of the school, Gomez says, "You are going to love Nevermore," but little did they know the supernatural mystery that lurked.

Afterward, in a montage of quick clips, you can see scary spiders, dark grunge school uniforms, spine-chilling forests, explosions, blood, cemeteries, a monstrous killing spree, a school dance, and a murder mystery.

Who is the cast of the new Netflix show?

Known recently for her performance in The Babysitter: Killer Queen and The Fallout, Jenna Ortega stars in a new era playing the mysterious dry-witted character of Wednesday Addam.

The notable Chicago Broadway musical star, Catherine Zeta-Jones, has been cast in the new series as the poised & deadpan Morticia Addams, and Narcos actor Luis Guzmán as Gomez Addams. Also, Isaac Ordonez, known from A Wrinkle in Time, plays Wednesday's little brother Pugsley.

In addition, joining the cast are Gwendoline Christie, Emma Myers, Hunter Doohan, Percy Hynes White, Riki Lindhome, Georgie Farmer, Thora Birch, Naomi J. Ogawa, Moosa Mostafa, Joy Sunday, and Jamie McShane. Plus, Christina Ricci will be filling the role of a new character and "not an older version of Wednesday."

When is Netflix's Wednesday coming out?

According to the trailer, Wednesday will arrive on Netflix in Fall 2022. Despite the fact that there is no official release date, there is confirmation from horror filmmaker Rob Zombie's recent Instagram post about the fall premiere.

While waiting for Wednesday’s release, it’s worth noting that keeping up with shows across different platforms can get frustrating. Many people find themselves signing up for multiple subscriptions at once, which can quickly add up and make it difficult to stay within a set budget. The constant introduction of new platforms doesn’t make things any easier, as each one competes for exclusive content.

That’s why it helps to step back and compare options before subscribing. By researching the best streaming services, you can get a clearer idea of which ones actually fit your viewing habits and financial plans. Some services offer bundled deals, annual discounts, or free trials, all of which can lighten the load on your wallet.

In short, taking the time to weigh your choices means you can enjoy the shows you love without the stress of overspending or juggling too many accounts.
